Rep. Barnes will support your ideas, fight for the community, and earn your respect. For someone who truly cares for our community, look no further. My track record of identifying issues and partnering with experts to implement long-term solutions is necessary for inclusion and growth in our district
Imani is focused on mitigating disparities for the citizens of House District 86. Imani's focus includes:
Imani has been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place. After running a grassroots campaign for Tucker City Council 2021 election cycle and only losing by 62 votes in the run-offs, Imani felt when the opportunity arose to become the voice for the district 86 community, she couldn’t refuse.
As a scientist, I understand the urgency of taking action to protect our environment and slow global warming. As a mother and a community member, I am passionate about leaving a better world for those who will inherit it. As our next Georgia House representative, I will support legislation to make Georgia’s air, water, and land safer and cleaner. I will fight to combine social justice with environmental protection, saving trees and rivers but making sure that all Georgians have safe water and clean air
As your GA House representative, I will work to promote legislation that increases spending on public schools statewide especially for schools serving students living in poverty to decrease the education gap. I will also work to provide teachers with salaries that show they are valued professionals and that will keep them in teaching and in Georgia. I will fight to keep public dollars in Georgia's public schools.
I strongly defend a woman’s right to choose. I also support the expansion of services to help parents raise strong healthy well educated children.
I support the work of Stacey Abrams to expand Medicaid to all qualified Georgians. As she says “Medicaid expansion will provide healthcare for 500,000+ Georgians and create 60,000+ Georgia jobs”.
It is absolutely imperative that every human being’s freedom and human rights are respected, all over the world.
